MasterVoices is thrilled to be one of the driving forces behind VOX: American Voices Opera Lab, a one-night showcase of excerpts from new grand operas:

• Desert Bloom (composer: Gillian Rae Perry; librettist: Mo Holmes)

• Fallingwater (composer: Joshua Schmidt; librettist: Dick Scanlan)

• Robeson/Moscow (composer: Scott Davenport Richards; librettists: David Cote and Scott Davenport Richards)

• The Wedding Banquet (composer: Huang Ruo; librettist: James Schamus)

Led by creative producer Beth Morrison and music director Ted Sperling, the project is a collaboration between American Composers Orchestra, Beth Morrison Projects, MasterVoices, The Metropolitan Opera, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music, and PAC NYC.

Performed by established singers and emerging talent alongside American Composers Orchestra and the MasterVoices Chorus, VOX is a crucial steppingstone in the journey of new opera development, helping groundbreaking visions move closer to the stage and giving audiences a look into the creative process.
